Producer & Agent Opportunities

Texas-Licensed Agents: Build With Nimbus

Nimbus is building a technology-forward independent agency model with smarter risk intake, carrier routing, and producer support.

P&C is the current priority

We are reviewing Texas-licensed Property & Casualty agents and producers first. Texas life agents may apply for consideration as a secondary track.

Selective by design

Every application is reviewed for licensing, market access, experience, compliance readiness, and fit. Not every application results in an offer or agreement.

Clear, written terms

This is a producer/agent opportunity, not an offer of employment. Compensation and any renewal participation are limited and governed by a written agreement.

Requirements

What we expect before you apply

  • Active Texas insurance license for the line(s) you intend to handle.
  • Working knowledge of the products you write and the clients you serve.
  • Compliance readiness — current E&O status, clean licensing record, accurate disclosures.
  • Willingness to work inside Nimbus's intake, documentation, and service standards.

What Nimbus is building

G.I.A. — producer support and risk routing

G.I.A. is an internal Nimbus initiative focused on structured risk intake, data-integrity checks, and routing a risk toward the markets that actually fit it. It is an in-progress internal tool used to support producers — not a promise of automated quoting or binding.

Producers still own the advice. The system is there to reduce rework and surface the right market faster.

Book and client ownership

Nimbus owns Nimbus-generated client relationships, expirations, renewal rights, and the long-term book of business. Producer compensation is governed by a written agreement. Any producer renewal participation is limited and defined in that agreement. We discuss specific terms directly with candidates who move forward in review — we do not publish schedules here.

Nothing on this page is an offer of employment, an offer of an agency agreement, or a representation of earnings.

Agent FAQs

Do I need a Texas insurance license?
Yes. Nimbus only considers producers who hold an active Texas insurance license for the line(s) of business they intend to handle.
Is Nimbus recruiting P&C agents?
Property & Casualty is the current priority. Nimbus is reviewing Texas-licensed P&C agents and producers with general lines, personal lines, or commercial lines experience.
Can life agents apply?
Yes. Life agents may apply for consideration. Life is a secondary track and applications are reviewed based on experience, market access, compliance readiness, and overall fit.
Do I need my own carrier appointments?
Existing appointments are not required, but they are relevant. The application asks what carrier, network, and wholesale relationships you already work through so Nimbus can evaluate fit.
Can I bring my own network or aggregator relationships?
You can describe them in the application. Whether any existing relationship can be used through Nimbus depends on the carrier, network, or aggregator agreements involved and is confirmed case by case.
Who owns the clients and the book of business?
Nimbus owns Nimbus-generated client relationships, expirations, renewal rights, and the long-term book of business. Producer compensation, including any limited renewal participation, is governed by a written agreement.
